Shrewsbury Town closed out a largely disappointing 2015/16 campaign with defeat to Swindon Town earlier today.

With the League One campaign not going as people hoped following promotion back to the division, fears of relegation were erased with how other games went in the final week of the campaign, and securing 20th place and survival from the drop by four points is enough to tick the box of one aim of the year.

Mellon was obviously disappointed not to see the campaign out with a victory though as he spoke to the media at the full time whistle, and he’s definitely aiming for a better season at the next time of asking.
