Manager Micky Mellon has given his thoughts following the draw with Bury at Gigg Lane earlier today.

Making the trip to Gigg Lane to face off against David Flitcroft’s side, a Sullay Kaikai brace twice put Shrewsbury in front in the game, but Bury hit back on both occasions to level the scores and that was how the game ultimately ended.

The point on the day keeps Shrewsbury in 17th place in the table, eight points clear of the League One drop zone.

Mellon will no doubt be hoping to see a return to three points in the game against Port Vale, but unbeaten in six after earlier struggles can’t be sniffed at.
