Manager Micky Mellon has been speaking following Crystal Palace’s decision to recall on loan winger Sullay Kaikai.

With the on loan youngster being one of the bright sparks of the season so far for Shrewsbury with League One survival now clinched, obviously Mellon was disappointed to see him leave with a game left – Swindon – but he of course was pleased Palace allowed him to return given the part he has played for the club this year.

Across his two spells, he made 25 appearances, with a further four from the bench, and he returned 12 goals.

He was Shrewsbury’s leading goalscorer.
