Last Saturday, Shrewsbury Town announced the short term capture of former Blackpool midfielder Elliot Grandin.

The 28 year old comes in until the end of the current campaign and given manager Micky Mellon’s January deals, he is the sixth capture.

On Saturday having passed his medical and agreed terms, the paperwork went through on the deal.

Mellon told the Official Site after getting the deal through.

‘I`m just very, very delighted to bring in another talented footballer into the club. He has Premier League experience and plays at the end of the pitch that we felt we had to improve in. He runs along back fours where he can unlock defences with his talent. He`s a player we know very well form his Blackpool days playing in the Premier League and he will add to an already growing, stronger squad.’

Having been with Blackpool during their Premier League campaign of 2010, he also counts sides like Caen, Grenoble and Olympique Marseille amongst his previous clubs, as well as CSKA Sofia and Crystal Palace.
