James Hurst has admitted that his spell at Shrewsbury is the perfect place to be to put himself in the shop window as he is set to leave West Bromwich Albion in the summer.

Speaking to the Shrewsbury Chronicle the 21 year old who is out of contract in the summer, said he would be unlikely to return to Albion, and he didn’t rule out a permanent move to us.

‘My contract’s up in the summer so the opportunity is there. Hopefully I can put myself in the shop window. I need to start my career, playing week in week out. I need to get going now. We’ve got a mutual agreement that we’re going to part company at the end of the season.’

As for the direct question about moving to Town, he said.

‘Absolutely, but it all depends on how I do.’
