Ahead of the game against Bradford City, manager Mike Jackson brought in striker Shaun Miller.

The 26 year old joins us on loan from Sheffield United having made his debut for Crewe back as a fresh faced 18 year old. So far in his career he’s played in over 200 games across all competitions, and scored 53 goals, however following his move to Sheffield United in the summer of 2012 he suffered knee ligament damage which kept him out for a considerable amount of time.

He is back fit though and has played in 16 games for the club this season, scoring in their game against Fulham in the FA Cup back in February.

Speaking to the Official Site after the move was announced Jackson said of the capture.

‘Shaun has good experience at this level and is just what we’ve been looking for to add to our forward line. He picked up an injury that kept him out at the start of the season but has been involved this season. He has played a lot games, he can score goals, but he can also create them.’

Jackson goes on to say that a player of is quality is a big boost to the club as we head into our final games, and having made his debut and scored in the two one win over Bradford yesterday, he could well be the missing ingredient if he can keep that going.
