The Football League have now announced the Match Day officials that will take charge of the game against Southend United this midweek.

Shrewsbury Town host Southend United on Tuesday February 2 for the game at the Greenhous Meadow and the match carries a 7.45pm kick off.

Referee: Christopher Sarginson
Linesmen: Wayne Barratt and Richard Bartlett
Fourth Official: Neil Radford

Match Day referee Sarginson (Staffordshire) has officiated one Shrewsbury game this season – the three nil loss to Coventry in October. In that game he showed three yellow cards, two to Shrewsbury.

He has however already taken in 20 other matches so far in 2015-16 and in those games, across all competitions and football divisions, he has handed out a total of 62 yellow cards and zero red cards.

He was most card happy in the match between Rochdale and Swindon Town on November 7 with a total of eight yellows being shown.

Let`s hope it`s not another repeat and more of our players edge closer to automatic bans.
