Caretaker gaffer Mike Jackson has added Peterborough United winger Nathaniel Mendez-Laing to our ranks ahead of the game against Brentford.

The 21 year old winger joined Peterborough back in the summer of 2012, and so far this season has made 20 appearances for them across all competitions, and scored three times.

The deal will see him remain with us initially for a month’s but presuming it works out, that is likely to be extended as I’m not sure he’s out of favour at the club, it’s more likely they want to build on his league experience.

It is Jackson’s third move in the transfer market since taking over the reigns from Graham Turner, as he has already added Fraser Fyvie and Bahrudin Atajic as options to our squad.

Speaking to the Official Site about the move, Jackson explained.

‘He’s something a little bit different for us. He’s got that pace and power about him, that speed, and on his day he can destroy teams. We saw when he came on against us, bang, great goal. I’ve seen him a couple of times and he can make an impact.’
