Turner Bags Two

Graham Turner has secured the two loan signings he was hoping for as he brought in James Hurst and Akwasi Asante.

James Hurst returns to Greenhous Meadow from West Bromwich Albion until the end of the season, and is obviously a player Turner knows well from his spell here last season.

After the deal was announced, Hurst told the Official Site.

‘It’s nice to be back and I was happy when I got the call to come back. Coming here is perfect. I said to my agent that Shrewsbury would be the perfect club if I was going to go anywhere as I know all the lads.’

Turner also brought in Dutch striker Asante from Birmingham City, who will also stay until the end of the season.

The 20 year old made his league debut at Greenhous during a previous loan spell with Northampton.
