Vital Burton Albion’s Aaron James gives us his view on his side’s defeat at Shrewsbury Town on Saturday.

What did you expect going into the match?

Honestly, I thought going into the game we would get a point. I thought Walker would score to tie the game in the last 10 minutes. My prediction was 2-2

Were you satisfied with the Burton performance?

Overall there were some good moments, their passing solid and put on a good showing. If Redmond would have been a bit more solid, or even if Poole was in goal, I think we would have come out with a point and it might have been 1-1. It was only the first game, so I am not panicking.

What did you think of the Prostar and the home fans?good facilities?

We enjoyed the stadium, it is clean and good looking. There was good banter between both sets of fans, which is something I always enjoy. Though I was disappointed by the food variety, it is not the worse, but not the best either.

Which Town players particularly impressed you?

I put Hibbert as my Shrewsbury player of the game, I thought for the hour he was on, he caused the Burton defence some problems. I also was impressed by Elder.

How do you think Town will do this year? and yourselves?

I think Town will be up there battling for automatic promotion, at the very least playoffs. We will finish above relegation, but not mid-table.

Do you forgive Shane Redmond?

He is a young keeper, but his couple of mistakes were costly, and I think as an under-21 keeper he should have handled them, at least the first one. But saying that, maybe this was his bad day, and he will be back on form as long as he does not let it bother him. He should rebound and be ok, though having to face Reading might be a bad rebound game.
