On loan Tom Eaves has spoken of his delight at bagging his first professional hat-trick on Bank Holiday Monday.

The 21 year old put in the perfect performance and got his perfect rewards as he hit three against Crawley, and he’s showing good progression after hitting a brace against MK Dons. The lads confidence must be sky high!

Speaking to the Official Site following the game he said.

‘It was a great day, it’s quite overwhelming and I’m just ecstatic. It really sunk in after the third one and it’s really nice to get three points as well to be honest, especially at home after the sort of draws we’ve been getting.’

Eaves admitted he was disappointing that Richards pulled rank for the penalty, but he knew he couldn’t let that affect him as Richards was skipper and had the right, so he was even more pleased to complete his hat-trick when it came.

‘Not taking it just drove me on more really, I knew there was ten minutes on the clock, so I knew there was time to get another one.’

Which is the perfect response really.
