Mark Wright has talked about the worst injury he thinks he’s had in his career and also his desire to win a new contract now he’s back fit.

Speaking to the Shropshire Star the 31 year old admitted it had been a tough campaign with the injury problems he’s suffered, but he’s hoping he can do enough in our remaining games to secure a contract extension.

‘It’s been very frustrating. It’s probably the worst injury I’ve had in that I came back and did it again. I’m out of contract in the summer, but it’s out of my hands. It’s up to the club, but I’d love to stay as I’m settled in the area.’

Wright says now he’s been back in training and got some pitch time his knee feels fine so he’s focusing on getting as much game time as he can so he has the opportunity to impress.
